چکیده

G6PD-deficiency is the most prevalent enzymopathy over world and this deficit expected to impact about 400 million individuals worldwide. Africa, Southern Europe, Middle East, including Iraq, have greatest incidence rates in deficiency. Aim of study: The main objective current research study relationship between specific biochemical parameters Covid19 infection associated G6PDD patients Mosul City. A cross a group 43 as 21 males 22 females participants with positively G6PDD, 51 any chronic diseases 24 males, 27 40 healthy controls 19 by paid visit outpatient clinics private hospitals city from date 15/1 15/2 2021. Whole blood samples were collected all volunteers' be analyze for serum G6PD activity, GOT, GPT, ALP, LDH also CBC. results showed that majority Covid-9 indicated lower levels activity more than Covid-19compared control, Also having an effect increases Total WBC decreases Hb PCV patients.

Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase Deficiency and Neonatal Hyperbilirubinemia

Background: Jaundice is affecting over 60-80 percent of neonates in the first week of life. Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency, which is an important cause of pathologic hyperbilirubinemia, can lead to hemolytic anemia, jaundice and kernicterus. The present study was performed to determine the prevalence of G6PD deficiency among icteric neonates in Shirvan, Iran. Methods: This...

Biochemical mechanisms of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.

A solid-phase radioimmunoassay for human glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (D-glucose-6-phosphate: NADP+ 1-oxidoreductase; EC 1.1.1.49) was developed that allowed the specific activity of this enzyme protein to be measured in lysates from whole erythrocyte populations, in lysates from erythrocytes of different ages, and in purified samples. The enzyme was highly purified from erythrocytes of si...

Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.

Out of 20 patients with viral hepatitis whose glucose-6phosphate dehydrogenase (G-6-PD) levels were normal, 14 had clinical evidence of a mild to moderate degree of haemolysis but in all the patients studied the half life of chromium-51-labelled red cells was shortened. Out of 18 viral hepatitis patients deficient in G-6-PD 17 had clinical evidence of haemolysis, and in eight this was more seve...
